Israeli Jews[edit]

I was just wondering: in which universe exactly do Israeli Jews dress up as the family mentioned in the last scene? I have lived in Israel my entire life and have yet to encounter anything even remotely simliar to the garments these extras wear, which is basically Western outfits with some ugly patterend cloth (tablecloth, perhaps?) draped over their fronts plus a very large, oddly shaped hat for the man and child. In fact, I was not even aware that my country had any sort of ethnic dress, and I would be greatly interested in finding out on what sort of sources the author of the page relied upom. Thanks for making this paragraph immensely entertaining, anyway.

I agree. Aside from the use of the word covenant there is nothing similar to Judaism here. Not to mention that countless religions (and secular organizations) use the term. I've removed the paragraph, but if someone has any kind of citation to indicate that this is normal (good luck), it should be re-added. Here's the original text,
More controversially, and perhaps more interesting, is the connection between this episode and the [[Judaic]] practice of circumcision believed by some to go against medical ethics. The aliens in this story believe that life-saving surgery will destroy their son's covenant, a word often used by Jews in association with circumcision. Also, the last scene in the episode shows a family dressed in clothing characteristic of [[Israeli]] [[Jew]]s.
Oh, and to whomever posted the original comment - in the future if you see something like this, don't wait around for someone to remove it. Be bold and remove small things like this it on your own. If you feel it warrents a discussion, you can make a topic here. For big changes on popular pages reaching a consensus before making the change is importaint, but not for something like this. Do the jews not wear religious head-dress similar to the family in the last scene? Is Jewish circumcision not an example of medical ethics in conflict with religion? I don't think the mode of dress of the family is a coincidence do you? 76.65.33.50 (talk) 23:13, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Arc Signifigance[edit]

Every other episode in this series has on it's page a section titled "Arc Significance" that outlines all the major plot points established or continued in the episode. Does the absence of such a section on this page mean that there are no significant plot points, or that nobody has created the section yet? Also, why is this page "not notable" when every other episode of this show has it's own page and is considered notable? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rikeus (talkcontribs) 16:51, 30 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
