Biographical information[edit]

Right now it says that it is implied that Ben is the President of the United States. Isn't it more implied that it's Leslie not Ben who is POTUS? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sportzak (talkcontribs) 19:34, 11 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Untitled[edit]

AGAINST deletion because: Ben Wyatt is now a main character of Parks and Recreation and plays an important part to the show. For that, he deserves his own article. If I must, I will add more to it, such as a list of the character's traits, a 'behind-the-scenes-section' and some more references.

No-one deserves anything. If he is notable, he gets an article. As it is, he's only just become a main character on a show, this in itself does not make him notable, it makes him existing. Character traits are just more plot and I can't see how the character is more notable than Frank Rossitano, Cerie, Toofer Spurlock, J.D Lutz and Pete Hornberger from 30 Rock, who themselves just had their articles deleted because they were all plot and not individually notable characters. If Frank Rossitano (whose deletion I supported, but he was merged) is not notable after 5 years as a main cast member, Ben Wyatt is not. If you are opposed to deletion, a merge is acceptable, but this article as it stands is not and adding more in-universe information will not aid that. Any behind-the-scenes information would have to be substantial and notable to mean that it could not just be added under his entry on Characters of Parks and Recreation. I don't know how to do this but it should be added in his list of occupations that he is "First Gentleman of The United States (implied)" just as on Leslie Knope's Wikipedia, her list of occupations includes, "President of The United States (implied)"[edit]

Political affiliation[edit]

Competing edits this month have ascribed competing political affiliations to this character. A cursory search didn't reveal any source regarding his party affiliation, anywhere, so I took it out. If somebody can produce a source stating that Ben is a Democrat, a Republican, or aligned with any other political party, please add that affiliation to the infobox along with your reference. --Moralis (talk) 04:00, 16 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
