Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... (in my opinion Cowburn was an important operative in the SOE organisation with four successful missions into German occupied France. He was instrumental in the intelligence behind Alfred 'Ken' Gatward's lone daring mission to attack Germans in Paris in 1942. There is a lot of information on his life on the French Wiki, which I'll need time to translate and add. I've added the necessary link to the French wiki page. ) --Londonclanger (talk) 15:10, 29 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... (from the reference added - "Cowburn was sent to France four times by SOE to carry out its tasks with great efficiency without ever being arrested. This is a longevity record (1941-1944) for the agency. Cowburn was awarded the Military Cross from England, and was given the Knight of the Legion of Honour and the Croix de Guerre from France.) --Londonclanger (talk) 15:25, 29 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
