First AFC comments

  • Comment: It seems that you used similar words and sentences for "Chuck's fate" section with the vanity fair website. Rephrase sentences starting from, Creator Peter Gould said".... all until the paragraph ends. EROS message 10:05, 7 April 2018 (UTC)
  • Comment: This article needs a lot more real-world information before it can be a valid article, which is unlikely given that it won't be airing for at least another five months. There is nothing here that cannot be included in the parent article. -- AlexTW 10:08, 7 April 2018 (UTC)
  • Comment: This article presents as a slightly edited regurgitation of the S1 article, which in turn, is a regurgitation of much of the main article (see the use of the pictures, for example.) The next season doesn't begin until roughly September, and as noted above, any meaningful content can go in the parent article. Until then there's precious little content aside from the dated speculation about Chuck's status, accompanied by a bit of speculative text. It can stay in draft form for now. --Dr.Margi 18:43, 8 April 2018 (UTC)
  • Comment: Removed AFC submission, not ready yet as the fourth season is a while away. The Optimistic One (talk) 23:56, 9 April 2018 (UTC)

Second AFC comments

  • Comment: Resubmitted AFC submission, the release date for the fourth season was announced, it's in the first week of August, which is two months away. The Optimistic One (talk) 18:37, 4 June 2018 (UTC)
  • Comment: A single date is not a reason for submission; the article has barely developed since, and there is no valid episode table. Many seasons don't get pages until after they've concluded, there is WP:NORUSH. Expand the article with further production information and at least two cells of information for the episode table, then it can be considered to be moved. -- AlexTW 03:59, 5 June 2018 (UTC)
  • Comment: In my opinion, the draft is pretty solid enough to have it's own article with an expanded production section. The table already has one (kind of) cell of information. There's also plenty of references being used in this draft already and the premier is just a month away. The Optimistic One (talk) 03:19, 2 July 2018 (UTC)
  • Comment: I think it's time for this to be moved into the main space. All previous concerns have been met I feel, and this article is pretty much in the same state as any other TV season article. The article has a plot section, list of characters with descriptions, an episode table with half the season's titles and air dates, a production section with filming and casting details, and a pre-release reception section. The season is a few days away from premiering and it would be highly beneficial for this to be in the main space before it premieres, so it can be expanded much easier by other editors. • Comment: I have no problem with that. As you say, the show season begins on Monday, and we have a lot of what might have come from the first episode already in place because of the trailers and material provided at SDCC. Further, I don't think it needs to be resubmitted to AFC. Let's just move it. --Dr.Margi 12:59, 4 August 2018 (UTC)
  • Comment: I agree completely, there's no more issues with this draft. The premiere is around the corner. Lets get this page moving! The Optimistic One (talk) 22:18, 4 August 2018 (UTC)

Talking Saul

Why is nothing about Talking Saul on the S4 article when there is on S3 & 2? Has it aired? The Optimistic One (talk) 13:29, 5 September 2018 (UTC)

Because they haven't done Talking Saul for season 4. Drovethrughosts (talk) 14:45, 5 September 2018 (UTC)

It's likely because of the Chris Hardwick stuff reported in the TV media. He only returned to work for AMC recently after the network investigated the allegations against him. Some websites even reported that some staff associated with the "Talking" series quit after he was reinstated. It sounds like one big mess to me. Esuka323 (talk) 19:01, 6 September 2018 (UTC)

Is he really a main character anymore? He has appeared in only four episodes this season and two of them were cameos, and he hasn't had as much screen time as plenty of the supporting characters. The Optimistic One (talk) 20:44, 3 October 2018 (UTC)

Yes, because Patrick Fabian receives star billing. That's what determines main vs. recurring. Drovethrughosts (talk) 21:19, 3 October 2018 (UTC)

2004?

Article says, "The fourth season, like the previous one, mainly takes place in 2003. With the last three episodes taking place a year later in 2004, while the first and second season took place in 2002". Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Jimmy lose his attorney rights in his court case against Chuck in the middle of last season? It was around late 2002. We only recently found out that Jimmy's been out-of-practice for a year, which should only mean that it's not 2004 yet and is still 2003. The Optimistic One (talk) 09:56, 5 October 2018 (UTC)

@The Optimistic One: I think the number of months covered in the flash-forward of "Something Stupid" make 2004 logical. Reviewer Kenny Herzog at Vulture.com to concur. So does David Segal at New York Times. And to this fan wiki, documents in the "Something Stupid" flash-forward show that Jimmy's probation report at the start is June 3, 2003, and a later one is dated October 13, 2003, followed by completion on January 12, 2004. I haven't re-watched the episode to verify that, but I don't see a reason to doubt it.
All in all, I think early 2004 as the period Better Call Saul is in during Season 4 makes sense.

@Billmckern: Thank you! I completely forgot about that flash-forward from "Something Stupid". Explains everything! The Optimistic One (talk) 21:16, 5 October 2018 (UTC)
