Recast[edit]

An article (for the movie Nightwatch) linked to this page via a linked word of "recast". Could we get a discussion of this element of casting here? The context was that the third movie in a trilogy is to be "recast". Dxco 05:13, 1 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think it's an "element of casting", really. It just means that they're going with a new group of actors for the third movie. This usually happens when some actor is unavilable, or more usually it's a money issue, and the producers either have more of it or less of it than in the previous film.--Pharos 18:27, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Racial issues[edit]

This article should discuss race-based casting and color-blind casting issues.--Pharos 18:27, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Example Director names[edit]

Why provide a list of "Current Daytime Drama Casting Directors", when this article is generically about casting for film, theater, TV? Seems lop-sided and out-of-place. Perhaps highlighting more well-known casting directors if there is a such a thing would be more useful? Keithh (talk) 16:44, 4 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Breakdown Express using it as an advert opportunity[edit]

Written as an advert for breakdown express. quality is greatly compromised by this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.115.229.34 (talk) 14:53, 16 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
