Who is Laughinstock?[edit]

In watching Candle Cove it's clear enough who Pirate Percy is (the only human looking thing) and Mr. Cloud is self-explanatory, as is Jawbone.

I'm a bit confused about who "Laughingstock" was. There are 2 characters I am not sure of the names are. One is this guy with 1 eye and a huge moustache, and then there is the talking pirate ship which he, Percy and Jawbone ride on together when they encounter Bravery Cave.

If it is the boat then what is the name of the moustache guy?

If it is the moustache guy then what is the name of the boat?

I have listed the puppets and will try to remember to check the end credits to see if they say who voices them. Ranze (talk) 10:34, 19 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

According to the Candle Cove wikipedia (not a source we can use in this article, but probably right nonetheless), the boat is Laughingstock. The mustache guy is Horace Horrible. Hoof Hearted (talk) 13:39, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Production company names[edit]

I've noted that there's someone trying to add "Eat the Cat" and "Wow! Max He Really Did It!!! UTMK" to the production companies. A look at this shows that there are company cards with this on it, however there doesn't seem to be any companies by that specific name. My thought is that these are funny production cards and that the actual company name is something completely different. This is not out of the ordinary, as a lot of companies go for funny and/or strange rather than a title card that gives their name "as is".

Case in point - the UTMK one looks to be representative of the company UTMK Limited, which is run by Max Landis. This would explain the name Max.

I'm not sure what company "Eat the Cat" is supposed to refer to, as so far I can't find any company that uses this phrase. It could just be something funny that was added to the end of the credits - the show wouldn't be the first to do such a thing and given that the show's stories are Internet based, this wouldn't be surprising at all. I'd suggest holding off on adding anything to the article unless we can confirm the company name. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 09:29, 9 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Something else to add - it's possible that this was a title card added in to mark Landis's status as the show's producer for the first season. If so, Eat the Cat might represent Craig William Macneill or someone else? Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 09:31, 9 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • With that in mind, there's the question of whether or not the title card was supposed to represent UTMK or UTMK as part of Landis. In other words, was the production company involved in a second capacity aside from Landis acting as the show's producer or was it involved through Landis only in his capacity as show producer.
