my horse looks as though she has cow-hocked legs but does anyone no a cure so that it wont end up in permanent lameness????

Hi, this is a page for discussing the article and not a help page, but this time, I'll help a little anyway. Some horses are base narrow more than cow hocked, but it is a conformational defect. There isn't a cure. However, an experienced farrier can trim your horse's feet so that she does the best she can with what she's got. Many cow-hocked horses are ridden, however, the limitations of the conformation must be taken into account. Consult a vet or a farrier. For more online info, try the message boards for various horse care magazines or Yahoo! Answers. Good luck. Montanabw(talk) 20:18, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
