The quotes from grand opera[edit]
It would be nice to specify the quotes Offenbach makes in the Duo; if any experts on French grand opera can complete the list they could go in a footnote. I believe there is a famous bit of the Act 4 duo from Les Huguenots (sung by Raoul), and part of the Act 1 finale from La Juive (sung by Éléazar) but cannot identify the other(s).
