Personally I don't see a problem using "about" to refer to 595, partly because rounding to fives is still an approximation, and partly because numbers of residents in places fluctuate for various reasons. WhisperToMe (talk) 21:36, 10 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Tnx. I agree that we shouldn't use an exact number for reasons you give. My objection isn't with Wiki, per se, and I appreciate your extensive editing of Houston-area pages! If the Houston Press hadn't ceased print publication a few months after that article's date, I should have fussed at writer G Paris Johnson, because I would have the same pedantic objection to use of "roughly" before a "semi-exact" number.
