Is this in any way related to the Belgian show of the same title with a similar setup? 2A02:A03F:54D6:1500:69E0:2FC3:4108:B452 (talk) 16:45, 22 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Untitled[edit]

There is already an article on this entitled Dog Bites Man (TV series) BauerPower 02:44, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've put up templates to propose the merger. Dog Bites Man is older and has a cleaner title. Mr2001 04:00, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

real-life situations[edit]

I believe many of the reports that take place on the show are filmed with the cast and cameramen claiming to be a documentary filmcrew, thus utilizing real reactions from everyday people, instead of actors. segments like the hotel hidden camera and restaurant hidden camera scenes might have actual restaurant employees and hotel employees. I think there was a link to a story about reports the attorney general of somewhere got on Collegehumor.com a few days ago, but i cant find it now. anyone know aything about this?Atticus2020 03:55, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

OK, on the comedy central site under "about the show" it says, "Dog Bites Man is an outrageous, part improvisational, single-camera show featuring a group of dysfunctional fake newscasters interacting with real people in a documentary-style format." The article definitely needs to explain the candidness of the situations (candidity?, candidiousness?, whatever)Atticus2020 03:59, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Nothing to add factually here, but just wanted to support that assumption. In the Springbreak episode (3), some of those kids are definitely clueless. There is no way they would act that realistically. --Davidp 03:10, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, there was a disclaimer before the show the last time I saw stating there was interaction with real people. BauerPower 02:47, 27 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I attempted to integrate this fact with my rewrite, though I'm not sure if its completely understandable. I also removed some superfluous info. I didn't think the description of Tillie's character was accurate, I've seen just about all the episodes and she doesn't cry at all ---Jackel 21:33, 28 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think the info about the setting of the show (the station name or the setting in Spokane) was superfluous. Can you find a way to work that part back in? adavidw 09:03, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
From what I've seen of the show, they are rarely in Spokane, but elsewhere in the US covering some story. Also, while the fictional name of the TV station they work for is mentioned a lot, but not really notable to the premise. ---Jackel 13:53, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cancelled[edit]

Does anybody know if this show is really cancelled? --(trogga) 19:46, 14 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It looks that way. Any word of the show has vanished -- I mean it's GONE, as if it never existed -- from Comedy Central and VH1's websites.

there is no citation for the part regarding Season 2. Where is tis information coming from? This should be removed, as there are no confirmations of a DBM second season.

Craig Titus[edit]

I heard Zach Galif...kis interviewed on the radio and he mentioned that in the pilot they visited and interviewed one Craig Titus. He briefly referred to the accusation that Mr. Titus and his wife killed their personal assistant. He claim ed that out of taste/legal reasons this is the reason the episode never aired (I'm unsure if it ever did.) Whattayathink?

here's the link to Craig Titus' wikipage if you aren't familiar with his case: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Craig_Titus
