this page is only informative about electric gates no selling or offering services are on this page.Zippingnat (talk) 08:33, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article may be a genuine attempt at an informative page but does not read like an encyclopaedic article. Are electric gates an "easy way to ensure security of private premises"? Are they the "way to go"? The original text seems to be promoting electric gates. Can the article be rewritten to say something along the lines of- " electric gates are installed to ensure security of private premises". The last sentence in the first paragraph says automated gates are "classed as machines". Is this true for the whole world or just Europe?

What is the source of the statement "The most popular electric gates for residential properties are swing gates," is this true in the whole world? I can't find any supporting statistics to agree with this.

The paragraph titled User Information is advisory rather than informative in tone, not at all the way an encyclopedia should read in my opinion. The article asserts that "All electric gates have an override procedure that allows the user to unlock the gate in the event of a power outage." but this is not true unfortunately. Perhaps it should assert that all gates should have an override procedure..."121.99.216.226 (talk) 10:18, 7 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
