Date of birth[edit]

There is another actress Elizabeth De Razzo, born Rodriguez. She is born at December 27, 1980, see IMDb. For the Elizabeth Rodriguez describes here obviously no birth day is known, see also IMDb. -- Jesi (talk) 13:03, 20 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

She has an acting credit on IMDB from 1991 listing her as playing "The Nurse". Unless she was a child actress prodigy I very much doubt 1980 is her accurate date of birth.Wikispeaks (talk) 00:27, 23 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Date of Birth redux[edit]

(There is a previous discussion, over six years old, on this page at Date of birth.) A recent edit [1] changes the birth date by about 12 years, without giving a source. The edit summary said: "Her actual birthday is May 1, 1968. I found it from a reliable source. If she was on 1980, she would've been 14 in New York Undercover as Detective Eddie Torres's girlfriend. NOT POSSIBLE." I posted on the editor's talk page to say:

I believe this is true, but Wikipedia doesn't rely on logic (boy, that sounds bad). Rather, it relies on reliable sources. You said you got it from a reliable source, but you didn't say which source. Again, I don't doubt you, but you need to spell out the source of the information for Wikipedia.

Now the current sources are Internet Broadway Database, which on the surface looks like a parallel effort to Internet Movie Database, which is regarded as unreliable. The other source is Hollywood Reporter, which is regarded (at WP:RSP) as generally reliable. Obviously, a more solid source is needed to change it. I think it would be best to just remove the DOB. It's likely Rodriguez has never actually disclosed her actual birth year and has chosen not to go public with it. It's possible the Hollywood Reporter just got the 1980 birth year from other sites. A lot of sites tend to web scrape without doing any fact checking. For instance for years Rebel Wilson's birth year was listed as 1986 and a lot of sites including the Sydney Morning Herald(which is the paper from her hometown) had that listed. Similar thing with Laverne Cox who was also in Orange Is The New Black and is actually 12 years older than what sites initially had listed. Kcj5062 (talk) 04:56, 27 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
