Birthdate discrepancies[edit]

New York Times obit says she was 86 at death, which puts birth in 1918.

All Music Guide has birthdate as 22 June 1923.

Social Security Death Index has a few poeple named Ella Johnson who died around that time in New York, the closest (unconfirmed) being listed as born 19 Nov 1916, died 08 Feb 2004 in Brooklyn.

I left birth date blank for now since sources seem to conflict. Jokestress 03:58, 23 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
