Nicky Hilton Affair[edit]

Esperanza was accused of having an affair with hotel heir Nicky Hilton during divorce proceedings.[4]

This is unclear as to whether the affair or merely the accusation occurred during divorce proceedings. (I presume the sentence is not intended to be taken literally, that physical relations occurred "during divorce proceedings," in the courtroom, before the judge.) If the affair occurred entirely prior to divorce proceedings, then the sentence could be, "During divorce proceedings, Esperanza was accused of having had an affair with hotel heir Nicky Hilton." If the affair was ongoing during divorce proceedings, then, "During divorce proceedings, Esperanza was accused of having an affair with hotel heir Nicky Hilton."
