The CW

  • Are they picking up the show or not? Arbiteroftruth 12:16, 30 January 2006 (UTC)
    • Nope. Season 4 is all we will get. --cholmes75 (chit chat) 03:41, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
      • And we don't get any more dvd seasons either! LAME/enfuriating!

Everwood in the WHV chat

Regardless of whethre it happened or not, according to Wikipedia guidlines, forum posts are not considered valid, and the way you're written the insert is very POV. Now, the simple fact is that the phrase "booted" is very POV, and misleading as well. It was a moderated chat, where the moderator "turns on" the ability for a person to post. Once their question is asked, they are "turned off" - happened to everyone, and I read the transcript. Warner Home Video themselves took no action against anyone, so even if what you say was true, it has no bearing on the article as no one from the show authorized or endorsed the event. it's not important enough or encyclopedic. Please do not revert again unless you have somthing more substantial than a forum post to back up your assertations. TheRealFennShysa 17:03, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

Yes, fans of Everwood spammed the chat. That has been mentioned in several threads at the Home Theatre Forum and Everwood forums. Yes, people were booted.

http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=5800 <- "nearly took over the chat," "prompting the moderators to plea" http://www.hometheaterforum.com/htf/showpost.php?p=2883920&postcount=14 <- mentions people being booted http://www.hometheaterforum.com/htf/showpost.php?p=2883735&postcount=16 <- mentions spamming http://www.everwoodmusic.com/forum/everwood1246-0-asc-30.html <- quotes many of the questions, mentions "banning"

These are solid sources. This chat happened, people spammed, people were booted. It is verifiable, really. The transcript is edited, but the TVShowsOnDVD link is not a forum. And I think it is important; it shows how strongly Everwood fans feel about the series. In fact, I am surprised this article does not have a section on the current attempts to get The CW to revive the series. 65.113.125.77 17:03, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

  • It is noteworthy that TVShowsOnDVD.com went out of their way to tell Everwood fans that they will not be answering any more e-mails about the show on DVD. I do not believe that has ever happened with the site before, and it is the place to go for TV on DVD. I have edited and clarified the comments in this section, trying to make them as straightforward as possible (despite the fact that I have never felt they were anything but factual) and there is no reason to keep deleting them. I will just keep putting them back. 65.113.125.77 22:13, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
    • Do not make claims like "I will keep putting them back", as that's coming close to violating policies around here, and will not be looked upon favorably if you start an edit war... TheRealFennShysa 01:12, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
      • My apologies ... however given the fact that the same person has been removing the section in question (you did as well, but that was my fault -- I have since edited the section) I would think they would be the one at fault. 65.113.125.77 02:09, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

Everwood Ferris Wheel Project

The link included in this paragraph is not an advertising link. It is a valid informational link that has been included on Zap2it.com. The ferris wheel project has been mentioned in a news article. 65.113.125.77 20:15, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

However, this is an atricle about the show Everwood, not the fan effort to bring it back, which has no chance of success. The cast has moved on, the sets have been struck, the show is dead. The info does not belong in the article. TheRealFennShysa 20:19, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
Did you even bother to read both the articles? From Zap2It:
So it's probably time to let go of the dream of a fifth season of "Everwood." And the delightfully perfect series finale did wrap everything up quite nicely. Perhaps even too nicely. Here's hoping Hannah changes her mind and goes to Notre Dame.
But I'm not ready to give up hope yet. And thankfully, neither are you. There are two campaigns I want to tell you about. At www.ponderosapinecones.com, fans are mailing pinecones and at www.everwoodmusic.com, they're working on a very elaborate Ferris wheel stunt.
And from the ContraCostaTimes:
We all love the good fight, but the tendency to throw tantrums when our favorite shows are canceled is becoming painful. The fans of the now-departed "Everwood" on The WB are a good example.
The WB original series exited from the airwaves, sending "Everwood" fans into apoplexy. They've been phoning Dawn Ostroff, UPN president of entertainment, begging her to continue the show when the universe implodes, melding UPN and The WB into The CW.
They're also trying to raise enough money to rent a Ferris wheel, which they want to set up outside Ostroff's office. What sort of message is that supposed to send? Renew the show or you'll be sleeping with the birdies?
Both articles mention the fan effort to bring it back; one links directly to the website in question. 65.113.125.77 20:21, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
I read the articles - however, since I work for The WB, I can assure you the show is gone. No fan effort will bring it back, and the info does not need to be linked in the article, as it's not relevant *to the actual show*. TheRealFennShysa 20:25, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
As far as I know, your personal knowledge is not credible. It *is* relevant to the show, even if you personally think/know the show is dead for good. The fact that the campaign has been mentioned in two articles is relevant. 65.113.125.77 20:29, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
I'm removing the link now, only because it is broken. Dstumme 16:52, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

Now that Everwood is taken off the air-- Is there anyway of seeing the season finale one more time? I missed it and had hoped to see it before the new season began this year.

Fourth season British TV

Does anyone know if this is scheduled or has already happened? Three seasons have been released on ITV yet I haven't seen the last season on British TV or know if it is being planned. Ashnard Talk Contribs 08:47, 16 June 2007 (UTC)

I miss Everwood

I so wish now that I would've taped every season —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.15.165.37 (talkcontribs) 20:37, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Everwood s1.jpg

Image:Everwood s1.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Plot summary

At 4,000 words, the plot summary was ridiculously long, and comprised 2/3 of the article. I've removed it completely because it was so vast that it couldn't possibly form a basis for the much briefer summary (less than 1/4 of that length) that would be suitable for Wikipedia. I would welcome efforts by those who have watched the series to write such a summary. --Tony 01:01, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

Locations

As a fan of the show soon to be visiting Utah, I would particuarly like to know if the Doctors office seen on this page still exists in Ogden, and if so on what street I can find it. I have been trailing the net for hours and have found that Mama Joys is on 25th street. Can I assume that the disused railway station/Dr Browns office is across the street as it appears in the show? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sifromscotland (talkcontribs) 02:02, 26 August 2008 (UTC)

Thank you

Thank You very much for this article. My parents used to watch this film in Polish TV. They had seen 2 seasons and our TV stopped. They didn't know anything about situation in 3 and 4 seasons. Today I translated this and they're very happy. Once more thank you very much. Szymon Żywicki (talk) 15:18, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

Request for comment on articles for individual television episodes and characters

A request for comments has been started that could affect the inclusion or exclusion of episodes and characters, as well as other fiction articles. Please visit the discussion at Wikipedia_talk:Notability_(fiction)#Final_adoption_as_a_guideline. Ikip (talk) 11:19, 29 January 2009 (UTC)

Could this article use a major rewrite?

It's overly long and is full of non-NPOV stuff not in the actual show like "Ephram and Amy embarking on a mature, adult relationship.". Yes, I know I could do it myself, I just don't know if I have it in me, especially if someone would quickly revert it. --Bix (talk) 08:09, 31 July 2011 (UTC)

Suggestion

I think that the season's plots are a bit long for this article, maybe each season should have it's own article like many other television shows and have a more general outline of the entire series? Just a thought Ncboy2010 (talk) 20:03, 29 September 2011 (UTC)

Noteworthy AOL promotion

I found this press release while scanning Time Warner's archives and thought I'd leave it here. I've never seen Everwood, but I'm sure someone would find it useful. Paper Luigi TC 01:38, 10 August 2013 (UTC)
