Overly detailed[edit]

Why did the writers of this article feel the need to describe every excruciating detail of a series of viral internet videos? Can it be pared down? The only people who can possibly use this information are people who have already seen it, and it's widely available for those who haven't. Nobody's ever going to read this page wondering what Fenslerfilm is about and want to read through all of this instead of actually seeing it. 205.250.211.218 (talk) 04:14, 10 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I arrived at this page looking to find a particular one of the PSAs and found the descriptions very helpful because they were easily searchable using keywords. Additionally, some of the details (such as where particular samples are from) are very well researched and interesting. I just learned about Brocket 99, for example. The fact that editors developed this kind of detail for something so niche and outside the mainstream definition of importance is precisely what makes the open-source nature of Wikipedia so great. Untitled[edit]

The Jamaïcan song in the "Reggae" clip is not "Inna De Bus". I've heard more people say it (on the internet) but I'm 100% sure it isn't (I know the song and many other songs made by Professor Nuts).

Seems to me like you're hearing too many syllables. Going by the consonants, it sounds to me like "Ya Na Cookin", "Yea du" - three consonants in the first kid's speech, two in the second kid's. Can someone else confirm/deny? --Jestar jokin 12:43, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed with Jester there. There's just not enough syllables for it to be "You don't know how to cook anything." There's no more than 4 syllables in the first line, that much I'm certain of and the only thing that makes any sense is "You're not cooking". I might be convinced that the second line might be "Yeah, I do" but even that's a bit of a stretch. Has Fensler ever put a transcript up for these things so we can check and know for sure? I agree with xinline - granted, the kid doesn't say 'you don't know how to cook anything' exactly word for word, but he definitely slurs it - the last three syllables sound very much like 'anything'. I don't see where you're getting all these syllables. There's four, at most. Slurred or not, there's nowhere near enough room in that line for the line you're suggesting. But maybe for the sake of peace, we could just cut the reference to the words and their hypothetical translations, that way it doesn't matter who's right or not? Skier PSA[edit]

Is it just me, or is the skier man saying 'lawn' and not 'loch'? I realise he looks visiably scottish, what with the red hair and all, but I still think hes saying 'lawn'

Seeking consensus on PSA #24[edit]

What does the first boy actually say? This gets reverted back and forth so much, I think we shoud try to come to some sort of consensus as to just what he's saying, or how to list it in the article. Is it "haxxored", or "hacksawed"? My view is that he's saying "haxxored", as when I listen to it, if nothing else the "or" part of the word is quite clear. Unless he has some really strange accent, I'm all but certain he's saying "haxxored". Errick 17:30, 27 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Article title[edit]

Even though your suggestion is about to celebrate its first birthday I've gone ahead and made the move. I've also made the necessary corrections by changing references to "Fensler Films" to "Fenslerfilm." This is an article about Fensler the company...[edit]

As such, we do not need primary source, overly detailed plot reference for every PSA that was done. This is not an article specifically about the PSAs. Not only should we not be heavily relying on primary sources, one link to the page is sufficient, not one reference per video.
