Staccato editing
I don't know the term, but that googles alongside its partner in crime against good filmmaking "shaky cam". Does this have an article or section somewhere? Should it? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 07:45, 28 March 2013 (UTC)

- Hmmmm, well is there a term for when one cobbles together lots of 1/8 second shots during actions scenes so it's impossible to see what's happening? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 23:36, 28 March 2013 (UTC)
- Not that I know of. "Quick cutting" is how I would describe it, but its not a "term" so much as a description like "fast tempo" in music or "high contrast" in photography. The concept doesn't deserve its own article or section any more than "fast tempo" or "high contrast" do. --GHcool (talk) 03:49, 29 March 2013 (UTC)
- Okay. I can see how it doesn't deserve an article, but a mention somewhere might be in order. It's probably widely discussed (sourceable and definable) like shaky cam, and is certainly a trend. It's common in making action scenes more *your adjective here*, and used in fight scenes and music video dance scenes to conceal lack of the subjects' ability that a continuous shot would reveal.
