Needs a major rewrite and shortening[edit]

This article seems uninformative and bloated to me. A lot of mealymouthed platitudes like "As a large country of more than 100 million people, planning and executing social policies are complex tasks." and "In Mexico, differences in parts of the country are caused by factors such as socioeconomic status and urban/rural residence." (with 3 source citations!). And that's the topic sentence of a whole useless paragraph about which regions are industrial and which are rural -- along with a color-coded map in the margin! Instead, could someone rip that out and write about, oh, I don't know, Food security in Mexico? Gnuish (talk) 06:49, 11 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
