After just having created the first wikipedia entry for Forestle.org, I strongly urge the administrators not to delete it.

Forestle provides a common search engine, just like Google, but with the additional benefit that it is not for profit but helps saving rain forests by donating the largest part (90%) of its revenues.

Although Forestle is just at its start and both the initiative itself and its wikipedia article are still small, I see no reason that justifies deleting the article. If the entry for Forestle is a candidate for deletion, then why would that about google.com, a commercial for-profit organization, or about any other web site that provides web search engines, not be one?

(A personal note: I created the article today (and not yesterday) as a present to a friend, who has her birthday today (Feb 7th, 2009), is environmentally engaged, regularly uses search engines and wikipedia, studies the science of forestry and just likes trees and forests.)

In summary, I see no reason for marking the article eligible for deletion and ask to remove the tag for speedy deletion.

The speedy deletion tag is gone. WadeSimMiser (talk) 17:25, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
