Arrest inconsistency[edit]

This article states Bertrand was arrested in 1841, however it goes on to say that his urges didn't start until 1846 and the hospital incident didn't occur until 1849. He could not have been jailed 8 years prior to the crime. I'm assuming the arrest actually took place around 1851, but the immateriel.fr link no longer points to the actual book being cited. It looks like someone else had already mentioned it was a poor source to begin with anyway. 108.168.100.116 (talk) 05:13, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Death inconsistency[edit]

Our article, the French Wikipedia article, and the immateriel.fr source state that Bertrand died in 1878. However, es:François Bertrand (sargento) and ru:Сержант Бертран give his death year as 1850, and Necrophilia: Overview and Historical Aspects supports this: "He proved a model prisoner, served his sentence of 1 year, and was released in 1850. He committed suicide soon afterward." Needs more research. KateWishing (talk) 02:53, 27 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
