Franklin, New Franklin, and Old Franklin[edit]

The article makes it seem as if the residents of Franklin, the subject of this article, moved to New Franklin slightly to the northeast, after flooding. However, I believe that neither town was the Franklin of the Santa Fe Trail days. These are both newer towns. The original Franklin, usually known as "Old Franklin", was located closer to the river at 38°59′13″N 92°45′23″W / 38.987022°N 92.756378°W / 38.987022; -92.756378.
