In 1984, Tom Jones recorded the subject song. Years before that, Freddy Weller recorded the song on one of his albums, I'm not sure which. Weller's version was far superior, and in my opinion, a classic country/reggae song, a genre well respected in country music to this day. I am trying to find information about this song: songwriter, mp3 download, pretty much anything about it. I am especially interested in Weller's version of the song, since it was so good.
