Race?[edit]

Ged's "race" was changed for the SciFi channel adaptation? What was his race originally? Gontish? In the stories he's dark skinned and comes from an island called Gont, not any particular "race". OzoneO (talk) 16:31, 29 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it's the classic incorrect interchangeability of 'race' and 'ethnicity'. Ged UK 19:40, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Time as archmage[edit]

"..the brief but eventful six years that Ged was archmage of Earthsea", LeGuin says in foreword to Tales From Earthsea. But perhaps she changes this elsewhere?
