Our good General here always seems to feature in my Dandy annuals, but never in my Beano ones. Unless we get different ones up north...

Been in every Beano Book since 1990. The Dandy Annual currently has an adventure strip of its own though - The Comet. However the 2006 story (multiparter, spread throughout the annual) was a holdover from 2005 (it was signed Graham P Manley 04). That makes it pre-relaunch, and it has never been in The Dandy since, so I wouldn't be surprised to find the Dandy Annual ditches adventure stories outright now. The Beano Annual has also featured Billy the Cat since 2004. Katie, his cousin, will join him in 2007, she's already appeared in his last Beano story, in late 2005.
