Gera is my last name, I wonder if my last name has any relavent connection to the city of Gera in Germany?

Lack of mentioning of transportation[edit]

From the article, it sounds as if Gera can be exclusively reached by plane ;) I feel there should be a mention of Gera's train, street (Autobahn and Bundesstrasse) and public transportation (trams and busses) connections. 82.119.5.205 (talk) 15:34, 2 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

... the third-largest city in the German state of Thuringia (after Erfurt, the Thuringian capital, and Jena) => ...(nach Erfurt, der thüringischen Hauptstadt und Jena.) Behauptet auch keiner. "Rock for Germany" is a rock and heavy metal concert that takes place every year in the nearby town of Gera, about 50 miles from Halle – or that's the official version. In reality, it is one of Europe’s biggest neo-Nazi festivals. That weekend, I found out later, it attracted a record 4,000 participants. The men I saw must have spent the night at the concert.
