I'm not going to change it now but someone else might find the right words - "...so was the still." primarily implies the bear was real.--MichaelW (talk) 16:57, 15 January 2021 (UTC)
- I would agree… but can you please elaborate on your statement about implications that the bear was real versus fake? My interpretation has always been that the protagonist befriended a bear because he was so drunk, not that he made it all up during a bender. So, the bear was always real.
