I think there must be some notes about her acting in Body of Lies . Bbadree (talk) 18:11, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nationality[edit]

I have been struggling to have the fact that she is now French accepted. Yet, it is widely evidenced by recent sources. But now people keep coming to the article to stress that she is Iranian-French. She is not. The source I have provided, and others that I have read, say that she is only French and not Iranian anymore. 'Iranian-French' that we can read in other articles is only there to stress where she comes from, not her actual nationality. That said, I don't care about her or anything. So please don't make this article pop on my watchlist too often again. Thierry Caro (talk) 18:36, 10 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Both her mother and father are Iranian. she was born in Iran and has lived in Iran. she was forced to move to France only because of the problems that arose for her in Iran. How do you say she is only French? If we are to know her by only one nationality, it is Iranian nationality. Maniammmbrn (talk) 07:01, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Girls of the sun[edit]

In 2018 she starred in the movie Girls of the sun , Can anyone add that to the filmography? Avestaboy (talk) 11:10, 2 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Farahani had a Muslim upbringing, according to ABC News[edit]

This biographical fact shall be added to her Early life section, either this #1 option:

Farahani was born in Tehran, Iran, and grew up Muslim.[1]

(The actual ABC News source regarding her good Muslim upbringing: http://abcnews.go.com/International/ingenue-exile-hollywood-star-home/story?id=20608217 ) Or this #2 option:

Farahani was born in Tehran, Iran. She had a Muslim upbringing.[1]

Which one is better in your opinion? I vote for the #2 one. Nasheen (talk) 14:39, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

First of all, you can't say that it "shall be added" – you can ask whether other editors agree that it should be added. Based on that source, it shouldn't. Please read the source and evaluate what it actually says. --bonadea contributions talk 15:14, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Just NO. Did you really read the content of that link? It's has nothing to do with what you say/suggest (your claims). If you want add religious stuff about a person, you need to find some WP:RS biography sources. A reliable source that clearly says Golshifteh Farahani is Muslim, XYZ, or whatever. --Wario-Man (talk) 15:32, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Nasheen: I'm guessing you have been misled by this sentence in the article you cited: Shooting took place in Morocco, including a scene in which Farahani, without a headscarf, sat next to DiCaprio by the shore of a lake and stroked his hand, thereby taking leave of her good Muslim upbringing. The "good Muslim upbringing" phrase is referring to the character that Farahani is playing in the movie, not Farahani herself. CodeTalker (talk) 20:44, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for clarification. This issue is WP:INCOMPETENT or misrepresenting/falsifying a source. --Wario-Man (talk) 06:04, 14 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Immigration date and reasons confusion[edit]

The article claims in three places that she moved to France after the vice police forbade her to return, but different dates are given (2008, 2012) and reasons (no hijab, nude photos). Is there any way to clarify or rewrite this? Solaire the knight (talk) 16:11, 5 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
