Constitutionality[edit]

Infrared Imaging::

this act was found to be unconstitutional when the NYPD attempted to employ it, therefore i elect to change the statement that they "can be used". George The Man 07:08, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Luminous efficacy[edit]

Is "efficacy" even a word? If CFLs produce less excess heat, that means they must be more efficient than HIDs. Which is true?

Light != Plant Food; "everything thing else that we provide to a plant is help it digest and use the light" is false. Both of these were apparently based on a 10-year-old's knowledge of botany.

Lumen != light density. Lumen != "light intensity striking the surface of the plant". The lumen is the SI unit of luminous flux. A lumen is in no way related to the imperial "foot", "candle" or otherwise and is instead defined as 1 candela-steradian. The lumen is already metric; the lux is a derived unit of illuminance and is defined as 1 lumen per square metre, again totally unrelated to candles or feet.

Luminous efficacy[edit]

From Wikipedia: "The lumen (symbol: lm) is the SI derived unit of luminous flux, a measure of the power of light perceived by the human eye" and not from the absorption bands of Chlorophyll, therefore lumen values are totally irrelevant to what light is useful to plants. A 10000 lumen light source, if it misses the bands plants need, is essentially useless. CRI is a similar story, the only meaningful luminous power measurement is combining radiant power with wavelength. It just wouldn't be a complete discussion if it did not mention Mary Jane. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.178.142.29 (talk) 05:41, 3 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

CO2[edit]

See https://www.growweedeasy.com/co2 for some information about CO2 usage... but is this a sufficiently reliable source?

This is hinted at in some other Wikipedia articles see Carbon dioxide enrichment but there seem to be no sources given anywhere in Wikipedia. Maybe this is better than nothing! Andrewa (talk) 14:40, 3 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Dutch<>English translations[edit]

  • Dutch: groeikamer, fytotron, klimaatcel
  • English: growth chamber, growroom (or grow room), phytotron

Not a Wikipedia specialist, but I think it might be good to connect these somehow. That is, either link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Growroom to https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fytotron, or to a newly created page called "Groeikamer".
