This has been mentioned by a media organization:

Scott Thill (May 30, 2008). "Genesis' "Illegal Alien:" Worst Song Ever? Or Worst Video Ever?". Wired. Retrieved August 3, 2021. 'Illegal Alien' was a single from Genesis' self-titled 1983 release, and it is so confusing (and confused) that it boasts its own Wikipedia entry.

On 3 October 2021, it was proposed that this article be moved to Illegal Alien. The result of the discussion was not moved.

Fair use rationale for Image:Genesis IllegalAlien.jpg[edit]

Image:Genesis IllegalAlien.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

word choice?[edit]

There is a difference between "immigrant" and "illegal alien." The first sentence describes the song, but the following one says "perceived offensiveness toward immigrants." I am an immigrant (legal, I should add), and I find this arrangement of words to be offensive. – By page views and for long-term significance, I think the song (for the singular) and film (for the plural) are clearly WP:PTOPICs, each getting over ten times as many hits as the novels combined. WP:SMALLDETAILS (singular/plural) are enough to distinguish between them.

The novels are all science-fiction and so unlikely to have long-term significance to a wider readership.

The redirects Illegal alien and Illegal aliens go to different targets, the first to the disambiguation page and the second to Illegal immigration.
