Merge proposal[edit]

I think that the articles should be kept seperate - the topic of plant defense is extremely broad and so having a seperate article for inducible defense makes sense to me. Smartse (talk) 16:29, 29 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is an important article covering a wide range of plant defense reponses to pathogens, insects and disease. To merge with herbivory makes no sense. --Agrihouse (talk) 14:07, 5 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Title[edit]

Insect herbivory is implied throughout this article. Why isn't it clearly stated in the title. The word inducible doesn't imply insect herbivory. Inducible plant defenses against insect or invertebrate herbivory, as the title makes more sense. Sidelight12 ^Talk 05:49, 22 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
