Its aim is to collect and publish all known ancient inscriptions from the mainland and islands of Greece.
I don't think this is the scope, certainly not if by "Greece" is meant "the territory of the modern nation of Greece". Rather, the aim is to collect and publish all known ancient inscriptions in the Greek language, wherever they may be found. For example, Volume XIV covers Greek inscriptions found in Italy and other parts of Western Europe. --Delirium (talk) 08:48, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
