While I realise that this is a new article, obviously compiled by someone not full bottle with their material, there were some fairly basic spelling and logic errors - see the history for my corrections, though they is probably a fair bit of work to do yet. And the syntax is often convoluted.

I made several corrections. The "President of the United Kingdom" is a non-existent office, for example, and I changed that to "President of the United States". I particularly enjoyed the notion of the President's term expiring on the day before the inauguration of her predecessor - seven years before she took office!

And, as written, the Presidential Commission were always called upon to do important actions during the interregnum period. Without knowing the material, I'm taking a punt that this was not the case!

Please, can we have a little more care and research put into new articles? Pete 09:03, 13 Jun 2005 (UTC)

John, you've fixed the most obvious error. The next step (in a long trail) is to fix your nonsensical statement "The Irish Constitution makes it clear that a president's term of office expires on the day after the inauguration of their precedessor."

That's still a term of minus seven years! I've corrected this again. I suggest you take a sober look at it before yet another mindless revert. Pete 22:42, 13 Jun 2005 (UTC)
