Educational?[edit]

There are several mentions in this article that claim critics praise the educational content of this show. After watching 20+ episodes with my son, I personally feel this show is about as educational as Super Mario Brothers. If these claims were backed up by citations, I would rest easy, but the only one I've seen goes to a review on Common Sense Media that rates the educational content 3 out of 5- which is fair at best and hardly praiseworthy. Rather than pull these claims from the article, I thought it better to open the issue up for discussion. Thoughts? -Fogelmatrix (talk) 13:54, 30 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Cutlassery[edit]

Going to be WP:BOLD and say both his old wooden sword and new (appears metal) one are both cutlasses, as this seems obvious. Does anyone disagree? Would this require sourcing? I know Jake usually calls it "my sword" or whatev, not sure if the term cutlass is actually used or not.

Regarding the material while wood/metal seems obvious, does anyone know if quotes are used in the show to support either?

Should we also note any extraordinary feats either has done? Can't recall anything with the wood but the new knuckle-bowless metal one is shown deflecting a cold beam from a magic trident in the previews and some other stuff in the new "Captain Jake" opening. 64.228.89.137 (talk) 17:09, 25 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
