We have minimum requirements of notability; the question is whether Berg meets those requirements. We cannot have a Wikipedia article on every member of AFTRA, Equity, SAG, AGVA, etc. --Orange Mike | Talk 02:07, 19 December 2007 (UTC) (married to a IATSE member)[reply]

Bit roles even in widely-viewed films and television series, no matter how esteemed the entire productions are, are wholly inadequate for establishing notability of a screen actor. To establish notability one must establish that the actor did something significant on screen. Receiving a credit at the end of the movie is not enough. Getting recognized in the opening credits, even in a schlock film, is prima facie evidence of notability. Having a recurring role, no matter how slight in all appearances, in any TV series or series of films, would also suggest notability no matter how lowly the role. Being essential to some noteworthy action for an individual deed on camera makes one notable, even in a one-time appearance. Having a non-speaking role as part of a mass (the "Romulan Senate") isn't enough.

At a certain level of performance in any endeavor, persons are interchangeable. Extras are not notable in themselves. Cameo roles are notable only to the extent that the person in the role is notable for other reasons.

It's up to the person who introduces this article or anyone who wants to keep it on Wikipedia to show that this actor fit even one of the criteria of notability. --Paul from Michigan (talk) 15:31, 19 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I added sources for the death. Seems to have been a one to two episode per show title but not a regular in any. The television section needs a cleanup and looks like it came from IMDB.--Sandahl 21:20, 19 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Clean-up of external links[edit]

I have removed:

Story no longer available at this site, either through given URL or search. Insufficient context given to locate an archive copy or otherwise reference whatever was once here.
As per previous.
Links to a subsection of the IMDB profile, duplicating remaining IMDB link.

Retained official site, IMDB, and AllMovie links. Also Memory Alpha, which could make a good source of further references for anyone inclined to expand the content. Katherine (talk) 05:20, 8 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
