Date of death

The article has to different dates of death, 1 January 2011 and 3 May 2013. While the date 1 January 2011 looks like some automatically generated date, it is actually the date given in the reference cited for 3 May 2013. So if there is a good reference for 3 May 2013 that in fact gives this date, it should be referenced. Proofreader (talk) 02:56, 2 May 2024 (UTC)

Okay, the dates 9 December 1944 – 3 May 2013 are apparently a kind of copy error as they coincide with the dates for Guy Darrell, also a British artist. The date of death of 1 January 2011 may well be genuine, as this source: [1] says he died on 1 January and was buried on 17 January, and the date of birth of 5 May 1930 is validated by the birth certificate shown in the Family Search source.
