Speedy delete[edit]
I objected to the speedy delete. This play was produced on Broadway, it had a notable director, and it starred notable actors such as Bernadette Peters. The article is only a stub at present, but think the work is clearly notable. If it goes to AfD I would argue for it's notablity. In addition, this speedy delete was raised when the primary author of this article is on a wikibreak. I suggest disussing it with her when she returns. -- Ssilvers (talk) 22:12, 16 July 2011 (UTC)
- OK, but it wasn't a speedy, it was PROD. It appears to be notable for only one thing. It closed after one performance (and five previews). I don't think that the director and actors confer notability on every play they appear in. Jezhotwells (talk) 00:31, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
- I disagree with the "all or nothing" approach to notability that was recently described (without adequate discussion, I think) at the Theatre project. This has a variety of indicia of notability: It played on Broadway, it got significant coverage and is discussed in books about theatre, it had a notable director and notable actors, it occasioned the Broadway debut of Bernadette Peters, and it has since been revived by regional theatre companies.
