To clarify my revert here: The summary was cut off - I wrote Per IJBall's reasoning: with 2018 the current year, using "-present" after "2018" is excessive; ep counts are unnecessary for main actors of show (will also note WP:TVCAST disallows unsourced actor ep counts in TV articles). And this is a situation where the user should discuss their edit here per WP:BRD, rather than continue to restore their edit. MPFitz1968 (talk) 23:44, 17 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

To reiterate on my end, any use of "2018–present" is completely nonsensical, and is absolutely contrary to MOS:DATERANGE. You don't use "2018–present" until new episodes air in 2019. In the case of Black Lightning, there is a decent probability that the only episodes the series ever airs will be in 2018 only. --IJBall (contribstalk) 23:53, 17 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
On the part about use of episode counts, I noticed a recent topic at WT:ACTOR#Trimming episode counts in filmography having some discussion about removing them from filmography tables. Though it's been more than three weeks since any replies in that topic, there appears to be some consensus to remove, but I don't think it's a completely clear one. You must provide a reliable source that backs the DOB. Otherwise, the DOB must stay out of the article. MPFitz1968 (talk) 23:12, 26 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
