Hospital:of about 20 beds which is operational day and night. It has a high schoolS both for Boys and Girls and 4 primary schools for boys and only 1 primary school for girls.private institute include AL-HUDABIA PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL,MINNHAJ PUBLIC SCHOOL AND AL-QURAISH PUBLIC SCHOOL.It has also a VETERINARY HOSPITAL.To facilitate farmer for selling Animal a market is held every week at day of saturday by government contractor. it is situated at a bank of chasma road.it alsO has a bus stand, where convience facility is available between dera ismail khan and kot jai.BY.DR.M.NOMAN ARAIN AND IRFAN ARAIN 99.5% resident of kot jai are SARAIKI speaking rest 0.5%
are pashto speaking which are migrated from tribal areas.Name KOT JAI was given due to a family(tribe) name JAI as they were in majority thats why a name jai kot was popular among near villager,s which later on was converted to name KOT JAI.major families in KOT JAI include JAI, ARAIN, KHOKHAR, MOCHI, ZARQAR,BHUMBS, AWAN,MIANAS,LOHAR,BHATTI, DERKHAN,BADHOOR, CHARHOYA, UTRA, VANAIS, PAWALI, MURWAT ETC M.NOMAN &iRFAN
