Starting[edit]

I am putting here the translation into Italian by M. Pittau (Studi sulla lingua etrusca, pp. 155-156). I hope to work on translating when I have time, but anyone else may try their hand at if they feel confident about it--

Side A: "(Sia) protezione di Cauta all'80enne, nelle fossa purificata in tutto; (mio) marito difunto da un anno il Mane funebre (ha mandato) nella dimora degli dei; da me stessa l'ho affidato alla terra per protezione divina, nella fossa purificata in tutto da Eros il Donatore. E dei parenti in tutto da trent'anni il Capo (degli inferri Calus) porta protezione (ed) equo giudizio globale da (su di essi)! Fa' che queste sia la sentenza!"

Side B:"Ed io ho fatto il voto di donare a Thanr e a Calus l'Infuocato per 4 anni mercede e cibo per la protezione del defunto

Mane e in lungo e in largo (e) alla morte protezione del dio Suri; per questo mese offro un voto in idromele (ogni) giorno al dio Laureato (Apollo); un ariete al Laureato, due sulla fossa dei (miei) famigliari."

First attempt of a very rough partial translation of the above:

Side A: May the protection of Cauta be/last for 80 years, in the purified pit, throughout; my dead husband of one year, the funerary Mane (has mandated) in the mansion of the god; from me, the same I have entrusted it to the grounds under the protection of the goddess, in the purified pit, throughout, of Eros the Provider. And for the relatives throughout of thirty years, the Head (of infernal Calus) brings protection and fair worldly guidance of (on them)! Side B: And I preformed the votive to donate to Thanr and to Calus the fiery, for four years, goods and food for the protection of the deceased.

With the help of a friend, we managed to upload images of the disk. But I'm not completely sure that I have provided the right info in the right places to avoid potential copyright issues.
