Image dispute[edit]

You stated that image Johnny Test Cast Poster doesn't belong because it is seen on another Wiki and is unencyclopedic. Yet, as I've already stated, there are no rules or guidelines prohibiting it's use for these reasons. Matter of fact, images like this are encouraged for character lists as they include as many character in one shot. Such examples include, but not limited to are List of Dragon Ball characters, List of Eureka Seven characters, List of minor Sailor Moon characters, and List of Total Drama series characters. Sarujo (talk) 23:28, 8 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The image DOES belong on Wikipedia, as I've now realized. If this article, however, cannot be edited, how are we going to put references on this article? It needs references.

These lockdowns are only a temporary factor, as admins have re-evaluate the situation. Sarujo (talk) 04:20, 11 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Claims[edit]

There appears to be some far fetched statments in some of the character profiles, which really need sourcing if they are true. Here's all I've found:

  • "Whoa, didn't see that coming" is a line taken from The Fairly OddParents.
  • Mr. Black and Mr. White resemble Agents K and J from the Men in Black franchise.
  • Sissy is the the spitting image of Johnny.
  • Lolo helmet resembles the Pipo Helmet from Ape Escape.
  • Mega Roboticle parodies both Buzz Lightyear and Optimus Prime.
  • The statments of the Turbo Toy Force. Malibu Stacy (although her name is not spoken, it can be seen during the close caption; name is a homage to the Simpsons; parodying Barbie), Nice Sweatered Ben (parodying Mattel's Ken doll).
  • Dark Vegan is a parody of Darth Vader.
  • Blast Ketchup is a parody of Pokémon main character Ash Ketchum, and his rapid movements and mannerisms are comedic parodies of anime characters, though his character design is sort of a fusion between Ash and Dan from Bakugan.
  • Brain Freezer parodies the mannerisms of Batman's Mr. Freeze.
  • Mr. Mittens is meant to be a "bizzaro" type satire of Batman.

My Stance on this Article[edit]

This page is simply a disaster, and it's happening to the other Johnny Test pages. We have tons of kid "contributors" here who will add whatever they want, forgetting that wikipedia is an ENCYCLOPEDIA, and go on a temper tantrum when you correct them. I guess that's what happens with kid show article. What I propose we do is simply give it a gray lock or whatever, and I'll do my best to fix it up. Heavydata (talk) 02:36, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I am IMPROVING the Johnny Test articles. These lessons are unoriginal research, and I will prove it to you.Emmanuel A. Asiegbu (talk) 23:17, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Why can't you prove it to me here right now? Heavydata (talk) 23:34, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well I'm not a kid but I seen virtually all the US air Johnny Test episodes, and I can agree there are alot of stuff that, as I stated above, appears far fetched to be sourced. What are some of the other thing that this and the other two pages need? Sarujo (talk) 23:58, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not a kid either, but I'm just saying kid show articles usually are badly written if they have little to no adult fanbase. Spongebob is a kids show, but it has a big adult fanbase, where Johnny Test does not, and is usually disliked by people outside of it's intended demograph (Elementary/middle school kids) in my opinion. Thus, you will usually have less adults caring about the quality of the show's Wikipedia article. There are adult fans, but not nearly as much as Spongebob.

Anyway, the number one thing this page needs is to be trimmed down a lot. Anything that is original research/guessing/cruft must go. The only information that should remain is the important facts about each character that carry over into more than one episode, mostly the information you've listed above. I feel a few paragraphs are poorly written as well and need to be rewritten from scratch, but that's just my opinion. Heavydata (talk) 00:14, 14 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the claims a few seconds ago. 99.19.92.173 (talk) 19:26, 18 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Blast Ketchup DOES parody Ash Ketchum, and from looking at him, you'd think he was another version of Dan from Bakugan. 99.19.92.173 (talk) 00:21, 21 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Merger with main article[edit]

I think this list should be merged back into the main Johnny Test article. 209.175.117.2 (talk) 19:48, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, you really need to explain your reasoning for this proposal. Because as of right now, put this back will hurt the main article greatly. Sarujo (talk) 22:32, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No, it won't. The only aspects that really deserve a seperate page are the episodes.66.99.23.194 (talk) 23:45, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yet you don't bother to state your reasoning other than it just doesn't deserve one. Which if I'm not mistaken, is not a valid argument. Sarujo (talk) 00:08, 28 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Looking at the IP location, it's Warmpuppy once again trying to change things on the article for little to no reason. He lives in Springfield Illinois, so if you see an IP address adding nonsense or trying to claim ownership, check the IP with Whois.
Sarujo is right, it would greatly hurt the main article because Johnny Test has a lot of recurring characters. If we put the characters back on the main page, 4/5 of the main page would be nothing but characters. Johnny Test article is about the show, and if we put the characters back, it would be more about the characters than the show itself.
Unless you can come up with a GOOD reason, this page is staying here. Come up with more lame reasons or reasons with no point to them, you will be ignored, and the tag will eventually vanish. Simple? I hope so. Heavydata (talk) 08:54, 29 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Because the article IS about the show, and characters are part of a series. E-Asiegbu (talk) 16:53, 29 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No, its about the characters in the show, not about the show itself. There is a difference, they're both about the show, but in different ways. This article is about the characters, and the Johnny Test article should just be about the show in general. And BTW I know you're another account of Warmpuppy judging by your edit history. I think a certain admin would be happy to know that, in fact I'll take care of it now. Heavydata (talk) 23:35, 29 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sources for article[edit]

This article needs sources for the information you used for it. 99.19.92.173 (talk) 22:25, 13 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Then why don't you help out? Mokoniki | talk 22:29, 13 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Because I can't find the necessary sources.99.19.92.173 (talk) 15:07, 14 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Facelift?[edit]

It shows in one of the fourth season episodes a completely grotesque version of the king of the molemen. I have no recallection of the exact episode, but I do recall being totally surprised. There aren't enough episodes on air in America so far to be hard to find though. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.81.204.165 (talk) 15:20, 14 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think that's the Mole King at all. 99.19.92.173 (talk) 15:44, 14 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
He was wearing a crown, so it was him. Color errors happen all the time with overseas animation, it's no big deal really. Heavydata (talk) 05:45, 20 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Parodies[edit]

I'm getting pretty fed up with these statements about some of the characters. I understand that some of them are parodies of anime, video game, and movies characters, but if there's no source, then DON'T ADD THEM! I used to do so myself until I learned my lesson. I'm now reverting this stuff as vandalism and repeat offenders can look foward to reading warning letters from our fellow admins. If this continues, I'll notify the admins and they'll do something about it. 99.19.92.173 (talk) 01:12, 2 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
