Well done. --EndlessVince 19:37, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Holiday, the indie pop band, does not have a Wikipedia page, and probably should. The band Holiday which does have an article is a different band, so perhaps a disambiguation page is needed (no idea how to do that yet). However, I question whether the Holiday in Wikipedia is actually prominent enough to merit a page. I will try to figure out how to flag that (I am a newbie just in case you couldn't tell!) --Hcethatsme 13:39, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mergelist[edit]

I placed the mergelist request on this page because it duplicates Category:Indie pop groups. I don't see the purpose of this list apart from the category. —Viriditas | Talk 02:29, 9 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There has never really been any consensus to favour categories over lists and Wikipedia:Categories, lists, and navigational templates suggests that both are valid navigational tools. I don't think this issue is ever likely to be resolved so it seems both will likely be around. I think this list is a little more comprehensive than the category, although the category does contain entries not on the list. The best way forward might be to do what the guideline suggests and use each to update the other. --neonwhite user page talk 15:59, 9 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. Categories are much better suited for this kind of thing than lists. Funeral 18:14, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Both are relevant. Neither is exclusive. --neonwhite user page talk 18:15, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Can Muse be on the list?[edit]

Muse should be on the list.

Having read the article I don't think Muse should be anywhere near the list. Nor should many of the artists on it, Grandaddy, Gorillaz, Kings of Leon.....????? This list seems a bit arbitrary and pointless. Iangurteen (talk) 07:09, 29 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with the Grandday and Kings of Leon not being indie bands but Gorillaz definitly need to be this list —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.148.197.123 (talk) 22:31, 29 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
None of these qualify based on the indie pop article description of the genre. Off they come. --Rob Sinden (talk) 14:21, 14 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
