Canon of Thesis on William the Bloody[edit]

Is this paper considered canon for the Buffyverse? It has some interesting details that don't exist anywhere else (and I haven't found any glaring contradictions), but I'm not sure if it's acceptable to add information from the essay. Any agreements/disagreements on this subject? Ekarderif 20:10, 31 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hrm nevermind. The essay says that Angelus joined the Master for a good while, which clearly does not happen as shown in Angel's episode of Darla. Ekarderif 20:21, 31 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

First things first the thesis has been quite popular, and as it says in the article even reccommended by Slayage. However it is still uncanonical because it is produced by fans. So probably best to very strictly limit the use of the information from it. Although the surname of Lydia "Chalmer" has become so used by fandom after its use in the thesis that I named the article "Lydia Chalmer". Also I believe there is an occasion where Spike's surname is revealed which must be a mistake on Lydia's part, or an alias Spike used because the surname revealed in the thesis is not "Pratt".
I don't think the thesis is neccessarily completely wrong with Angel and Master having more of a history than the flashbacks we have seen. Else why would the Master speak of Angelus as if he knew him well in Buffy Season 1 (he even says something like "he was to sit at my right side")

This page should be deleted or reduced to a stub. Most of this page is based on fan fiction, which bares little relevance to anything. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.166.146.9 (talk) 03:18, 21 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
