The "Misleadings" Section

I think it's very biased to have a section called misleadings. Furthermore, I don't think her stance on abortion deserves a whole new subject heading. I believe it fits better in the political stances section.

Also, it is very debateable if Jenkins ever has taken any pro-life positions. The Lasing Newspaper you cite doesn't cite Jenkins' pro-life statements. The writer could have misinterpreted Jenkins' position.

I agree with Burroughsks88. This section is a fairly blatant POV slanting of an ambiguous source. The controversy, such as it is, is adequately covered in the prior section. Any factual assertions should be clearly stated in neutral language and accurate citations provided.--Arxiloxos (talk) 21:29, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

Photo Caption

The Caption Under Photo Reads "Rep Elect 3rd District", in fact she is from the 2nd District of Kansas. I was unable to fix this, if someone could, that would be good!

"Great White Hope" controversy

I'm not a Wikiperson, so I'm asking someone who is to please stop the deletion of the -"Great White Hope" controversy- to Ms. Jenkins' biography.

I think any fair minded individual will see all the information for that entry is valid, verifiable and a matter of public record.

"Jenkins - Great White Hope" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.252.65.133 (talk) 21:28, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

I concur that this material should be included in the article: it is now covered in multiple reliable sources both nationally (CNN) and in Kansas, and appears to be maintaining a presence in the media. --Arxiloxos (talk) 02:37, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

And I. It's a notable event, just like how "while attending a NAACP meeting, [Ross] Perot, in describing the criminality of certain populations, referred to them to the members as "your people"..."(Ross_Perot#1992_presidential_candidacy). Therefore, I brought it back. KLP 16:06, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

I'll put the edit summary here: Restoration of material (sourced from the Topeka Capital-Journal, CNN, and Ottawa Herald) that had been deleted with no explanation, let alone agreement on the discussion page.

If anyone wants this material deleted, first explain why on this talk page, and get agreement. Once you have got agreement, delete it. Deletion without agreement will be treated as vandalism.

I note that both User talk:John Asfukzenski and User talk:63.215.29.212 are already riddled with reversion notices and warnings about removing material. -- Hoary (talk) 08:23, 16 September 2009 (UTC)

  • Concur. Although some might argue there are WP:NPOV issues involved in its inclusion, its notability and applicability cannot be successfully disputed. There's no such thing as a politician who has never said the wrong thing with a microphone nearby. Alan (talk) 01:19, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
  • Been at one of the local "Town Halls" with Jenkins. Don't believe the "accident" excuse for a second. The "accident" was she got caught. Most of the time she doesn't.69.149.213.79 (talk) 00:43, 20 March 2010 (UTC)

The phrase "Great White Hope" itself

The article started by linking "the Great White Hope" to The Great White Hope, an article about the play. Sleepily failing to notice that this includes a rather good little section on the phrase itself, I altered the link so that it instead pointed to James J. Jeffries, the best known GWH. But I then read Jack Johnson (boxer) (already linked to within the same sentence) and decided that that had a better explanation than did the article on Jeffries. So I pulled my new link and left only the one to Johnson. -- Hoary (talk) 04:06, 20 September 2009 (UTC)

Dead Link

You have a dead link at http://www.lynnjenkins.net/. You need to fix the link or remove the reference. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.239.246.159 (talk) 04:40, 10 October 2009 (UTC)

So is there an editor for this page? If so get off your lazy ass and change the link to http://www.lynnjenkins.com/

Got it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.242.178.144 (talk) 01:46, 13 November 2009 (UTC)

Maggie's List

It looks like Jenkins is the only non-Floridian founding member. Does anyone know the reason for this? Would be interesting info to add to either her bio or the Maggie's List entry. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.81.75.121 (talk) 21:36, 17 October 2015 (UTC)
