Untitled[edit]

I say we merge Magni and Móði into Móði and Magni. There's not enough material for two articles. - Haukur 19:58, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Módi redirect[edit]

I question the legitimacy of the redirect at Módi to this article. While Módi is a perfectly acceptable alternate name for the Modhi Islands in Greece, other than mere (incorrect) resemblance of the glyphs there is nothing showing that Módi is equated with Móði – the ð character in no way equates with d. If no one can make a cogent argument to the contrary I will redirect the Módi pointer to the Greek Islands from here (and remove the dab comment atop this article). The name is spelled Módi in some systems, like in John Lindow's Handbook. But feel free to make Módi into a disambiguation page or redirect if it's a common representation of the Greek name. Haukur 00:09, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Will do; I always thought that ð was more of a th than a d, but we learn something new everyday. Will make a dab, rather than a pointer to just the Greek Islands, which given the pronunciation shift of the Greek δ from clearly d to more of a dh the more modern renderings tend toward the dh, but nearly anything transliterated letter-for-letter (or prior to Greek independence in the 1800s) gets a d. Okay, great! Old Norse ð has the same phonetic value as Modern Greek δ. Haukur 23:17, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Jarnsaxa[edit]

Can anyone produce some sort of reference that supports the claim that Jarnsaxa is the mother of Modi? Magni is Jarnsaxa's son but to my knowledge there was never a mention of who Modi's mother is. Modi could just as easily be Sif's son as he could be Jarnsaxa's. ksofen666

Modi and Amit Shah[edit]

Some people(including german) related modi and Amit Shah with modi and magni(son of thor). Egyptian Kratos (talk) 14:32, 25 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
