Episode summaries[edit]

I've tagged the Episodes section with the {{plot}} tag. The summaries are too long, per WP:TVPLOT standards. They should be trimmed down to between 100-200 words. I don't expect the series will be renewed beyond its freshman season, but that doesn't mean every single episode detail needs listed. Thank you. — Wyliepedia 06:16, 26 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Season 1 article[edit]

Just a heads up the first season has an article (MacGyver (2016 TV series, season 1)) now, I personally haven't seen enough of the season to know who recurred or guest starred in the season so if someone would help with that it'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Question ...[edit]

In what century does this series take place?

MacGyver is driving to Frankfurt in a prehistoric passenger car with a switcher diesel locomotive on a single track route without an overhead line ... some facts:

  1. All German locomotives stop 60 seconds after the train driver missed to hit the Dead man's switch.
  2. All German diesel locomotives as old as shown in the series have no electric but hydraulic transmission.
  3. All German locomotives and passenger cars stop immediately when the pressure of the brake pipe drops (indirect air brake).
  4. All German passenger cars have buffers and chain couplers and no central automatic couplers.
  5. All German passenger cars have automatic doors that won't open while moving.
  6. No German passender car has those little grenades hanging around "to inform other trains".
  7. There are no single track routes around Frankfurt where long distance trains would operate.
  8. There are no routes without overhead lines around Frankfurt.

That's hilarious ... if not ridiculous! 94.221.107.23 (talk) 11:25, 8 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in MacGyver (2016 TV series)[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of MacGyver (2016 TV series)'s orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "s4":

  • From List of MacGyver (2016 TV series) episodes: "MacGyver - Season 4 - CBS Orders Additional Episodes". SpoilerTV. November 6, 2019. Retrieved November 6, 2019.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 11:24, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

New title card[edit]

Can someone create File:MacGyver Season 4 Title Card.png, please? 74.15.88.254 (talk) 01:42, 1 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Plot[edit]

Should we add a summary of the extended storylines (e.g. Codex) under the plot section, as they are the majority of the series? TheGothPoet (talk) 17:32, 6 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Cameo "appearance" from the original Phoenix boss, Pete Thornton[edit]

In the first episode, during the operation they are on, Mac says the Phoenix Foundation's leader's (Patricia Thornton) cover name, Miss Elcar. I think this is likely a nod to Dana Elcar, who some may not know, played the original character in the first series. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MacGyver_(1985_TV_series)#Cast 32.212.102.239 (talk) 19:20, 9 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
