I believe that this article's only real value is as a dictionary definition, and that everything outside the lead section should be merged into the articles about the particular instruments being discussed. "Instruments with manuals" do not have enough in common with each other to be worth an article – except the things they have in common with ALL keyboard instruments. There is already a "Keyboard instruments" article, which can easily accommodate a disambiguation paragraph about "manuals" similar to the lead section of this article. Note also that this article is not even ABOUT "instruments with manuals" - it's only about "manuals". There just isn't much to say on the strict topic of "all manuals in general, excluding talk of specific instruments", which is what this article demands.
