I am a Swedish, seldom-writing Wikipedian, and a fan of Marsden Wagner. When he died two weeks ago I realised there was no Wikipedia article about him, and I decided to write one. This was my first article on English Wikipedia though, and I felt shy, so I tried at https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:Annaxt/Marsden_Wagner first. But when I was finished I read that it could take weeks or months before my article would be reviewed and submitted, so I asked for help in the IRC chat and was told I could go ahead and publish an article myself, as long as I had reliable, checkable sources.
