This article, while not written by the person noted, would seem to be in breach of of Wiki policy relating to Self-published sources.

Self-published sources (online and paper) Policy shortcut: WP:SPS Anyone can create a website or pay to have a book published, then claim to be an expert in a certain field. For that reason self-published media, whether books, newsletters, personal websites, open wikis, blogs, Internet forum postings, tweets etc., are largely not acceptable.[nb 4]

Self-published material may, in some circumstances, be acceptable when produced by an established expert on the topic of the article whose work in the relevant field has previously been published by reliable third-party publications. However, caution should be exercised when using such sources: if the information in question is really worth reporting, someone else is likely to have done so.

Self-published sources should never be used as third-party sources about living persons, even if the author is a well-known professional researcher or writer; see WP:BLP#Reliable sources.

The article references websites and material and products that have an obvious commercial interest, including a "book" written and published by the gentleman in question.

Such a self-publication does not give validity to any "definition" as quoted.

The term "Microponics" is not one of common usage, and has been dliberately created as an obvious attempt to brand or market products of the person referenced and promote their website and blogs

This article should either be removed, or heavily edited.

Biography?[edit]

This section needs to be heavily edited, it's more about Gary than it is about "Microponics", which he doesn't even use as a term on any of his websites, he calls it "Urban Aquaponics". I doubt it was made by the Gary Donaldson, but he's referenced way too much, this is more of a biography than a wiki page.

I've added a speedy deletion request. There is no reason to have this page even if it's edited, as "Microponics" is simply "Aquaponics" by another name, if anything it can be made into a redirect, but even that would be asinine as no one references it as Microponics. The term "Microponics" was not invented by this author. A quick Google reveals the following source dating from 1993 so his claim of originality is false. From Micropropagation to "Microponics" by Maciej Hempel Originally published in: Practical Hydroponics International, 1993, November/December, p. 21-23
