Name standardization needed[edit]

Anyone noticed that "Ortiz" is not the middle-name of this man? He was Spanish, and accordingly he had _two_ surnames (Ortiz: from his father, Berrocal: from his mother). So I'd rename this page to "Miguel Ortiz-Berrocal" or "Miguel Ortiz" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 161.72.16.47 (talkcontribs)

The name of the article (Miguel Berrocal) and the Wikimedia Commons category (Miguel Ortiz Berrocal) should be harmonized. I tend to favor "Miguel Ortiz Berrocal", since this name seems to be used most often in (non-Wikipedia) publications I've seen. Any guidelines or opinions regarding what name should be used? Agreed and  Done. Note that I don't have a particularly strong opinion on the matter, but with redirects, people will find what they're looking for. It's funny that http://www.berrocal.net/ calls him "Miguel Berrocal", and yes, I have seen many other places including "Ortiz". -- ke4roh (talk) 11:49, 15 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Comic strip reference[edit]

Removed from the article:

"He discovered the comic strip with Milo Manara, who was then his assistant."

What does this mean? -- Karada 18:31, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No clue. But good news! The text is gone now. (And a good thing, too, considering it's been 7 years since you asked.) -- ke4roh (talk) 10:50, 17 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Erroneous spelling "corrections"[edit]

Please be careful when applying spelling correction with automatic tools such as AWB. Do NOT try to correct the spelling of foreign language words, unless you actually know how to spell in the foreign language. For example, do not erroneously "correct" the Italian word "sculture" (sculptures) to the English word "sculpture" in an exhibition title which is clearly not in the English language. Possible use of past tense[edit]

Should the "education" section be written in past tense?

If it should then can somebody change it? Robert (talk) 03:30, 19 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This entire article was expanded by User:Fundación Escultor Berrocal and other editors, from a stub to a much more complete article. However, the writing style does not conform to English language Wikipedia standards in many respects, including the extensive use of present tense. Almost the entire article needs to be recast into past tense, since Berrocal died in 2006 and is no longer active. Correcting this and other problems (with style of the references, for example) will require a significant amount of editorial work. You (or any other editor) are invited to WP:DIY. Regarding
The piece was to be permanently placed at the Plaza de las Cuatro Culturas in the city of Melilla.
    • Was this piece placed? This is worded like a failed attempt occurred.

Much of this appears to be from the flash pamphlet on the foundation's website, this all needs to be reworded completely JacobiJonesJr (talk) 12:09, 3 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Removed {{expand}} template[edit]

I think the article is enough long now, so I removed the {{expand}} template. Lightbluerain (Talk | contribs) 09:36, 15 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
