Notability is questioned. Although he directed two works "Kanon" (2002) and "Digimon Data Squad", he does not even have an article in Japanese Wikipedia. Most of his other works have been on the level of episodic director.

Name[edit]

I'd just like to point out that this person' first name is quite hard to decypher, but it's been confirmed (in furigana) in at least one official publication -- the Saint Seiya Hades databook, released about 10 years ago.

In this, the official spelling is 'Naozumi', not 'Takamichi'.

Same user here. Thanks for changing the first name, but it should still be Naozumi, not Naoyuki, not matter what Animenewsnetwork has to say about it (they're not the definitive authority over name spellings, and I'll try official Japanese books over them any day.)

I'll add Naozumi as an alias. Common name may still prevail here. If Ito has a website / blog where he romanizes his name or there's an interview that pronounces his name as such then this can be revisited. At this point the article barely survived a PROD and the equivalent Japanese wikipedia article has yet to exist. The French site is an encyclopedia fan website so you would need to dig up the furigana from the databook. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 16:07, 7 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Japanese websites that provide a pronunciation guide use -yuki though. I think -zumi would be the reading if the final character were 住 rather than 往, but if you look at the opening credits of Kanon for example you can clearly see that it's the latter. I think someone involved in the compilation of the French databook might have consulted a source with a typo or misprint of some sort, or might have misread the character. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.61.180.106 (talk) 16:16, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
